When I tell you, someone who has many different pieces of paper that claim you are smarter than me, that if you do not do [Specific Action] in [Specified Time Frame], then do not come crying to me when [Predicted Consquence] happens. You simpering, fudgeknuckled buffoon.

Date: 2007-05-30 01:12 pm (UTC)See, your education makes sense to me. You can't just "pick up" embalming and funeral work on the job. But a lot of jobs? Those pieces of paper mean nothing, other than you had someone who could afford them and/or you're in considerable debt.
College is good for people who want to be doctors and lawyers and veterinarians and morticians and specifically skilled careers. Trade schools are also good for people who need skill sets. But the vast majority of diplomas are the world's most expensive pieces of paper and if I knew in 1994 what I know now, a LOT of things would be different.
