I've been putting a lot of thought into this, which is why you haven't received a definitive answer as of yet.

I've gone through the barrage of emotional cripples, to the point where I've now basically become one of them. However, when I did it I was looking for safety.

If they didn't feel anything for me, then it couldn't possibly get /messy,/ right?
