've been in the mood lately to dye my hair red, like a deep cherry red (worksafe, of course). The urge to change is almost overwelming as I haven't done anything to my hair in quite a long time.

Of course, it will have to be bleached first, to remove as much of the black as humanly possible.

Any suggestions?

also, Nutrisse is really mild, and smells nice, so it won't damage your hair. I'd say give it a try, but don't bother bleaching -- don't you still have Feria Starry Night in there?

Also, if you DO want to bleach for something else, Garnier Nutrisse makes a bleach kit that is mild on the hair, but strong. It also tends to (on my hair, anyway) leans towards red when used to strip colour out -- which might help you some, though it does jack all on Feria, as I learned from trying to bleach Ron's hair for him.

Yep.
Month old Starry Night.

Chocolate cherry is a little too brown for my tastes, though.
I want more of a red red then a brown/burgandy/red.
